Expand Your Ken with Thing 10

Interacting with teens is a good focus for Thing 10.

Snapchat could be a fun tool for libraries to use. It seems a little more secure than other instant picture sharing sites.

This could be turned into a game for teens or community members. There could be a variation of a memory like game where images relating to a book or topic are flashed throughout the day. A teen could send in an answer as soon as they guessed the title or topic. Badges for a social media site could be a prize or a drawing at the end of the month or prize period for a local gift certificate or business sponsored prize.

A library could also team up with a local group or chamber of commerce. This would be especially fun during a community wide event. The library could send out pictures of historical places around town or close up pictures of pictures or items in their collection and people could try to guess the building or local topic. A little cross promotion never hurt.
